What's up in L.A.?

A friend just e-mailed me that question, based on the transitions of three celebrities in just a few days of each other: Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson.

One common thread is that all three were icons who had their greatest fame decades ago. My thinking is that this relates to Pluto being opposite the Sun this week. Pluto in Capricorn is tearing down old structures that are no longer applicable or viable in our new reality -- and it makes sense that this would include role models and icons.

We may see more along these lines, since the Pluto-Sun opposition was part of the Solstice chart, which is considered an indication of trends for the next three months.

  1. Do you think that the California budget crisis is part of the old being torn down because it no longer works?

  2. Thanks for your question. And yes, I think that the problems with the California budget -- as well as the worldwide economic changes -- are very much part of tearing down old structures that did not have a strong foundation in heart-centered values. Much will be rewritten during the course of these changing times, as the energies prod us to evolve. The Pluto-Sun opposition in the Solstice chart indicates several shifts will occur over the next three months, as we individually face our shadow selves and bring them into the light -- and there will be events that come into our common awareness that represent the passing away of old facades in preparation for the new.
